At Stineman/Joy Studios, we believe that acting is both an art and a science, and that mastering both the technique and the technical aspects of the craft is essential to creating truthful, engaging performances. Founded by Galadriel Stineman and Kevin Joy, both working actors with years of experience on stage and on screen, they bring the perspective and experiences of their careers to every class and coaching. Through a combination of exercises, scene work, movement, and improvisation, Galadriel and Kevin help students delve deep into the nuances of character development, emotional authenticity, and storytelling.

 

Stineman/Joy Studios embraces a variety of techniques, drawing from contemporary methods as well as the foundational teachings of Stanislavsky, Hagen, Meisner, and Strasberg. Galadriel and Kevin tailor their approach to meet the needs of each individual student, providing personalized feedback and guidance every step of the way.
