FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
-
How do I start taking classes?Contact the studio by e-mail, and we will get you started. Once we receive all of your information, we will give you all the details about your class.
-
How many students are in each class? We cap all classes at 12 students. This allows every student to put work up every class and receive quality coaching.
-
Is there a waitlist to get into class? We do our best to accomodate all students and place them in the appropriate class. While we want every student to be able to join a class, it's also very important to us that class sizes don't get too large. We want to make sure that every student gets quality coaching on every scene, and that's only possible with a smaller class size. Every now and then we must add names to the waitlist until a spot opens up. Names will be added on a first come first served basis, and notice will be given when a spot becomes available.
-
How long are classes?Classes vary depending on the amount of work prepared by students, but typically run three to four hours.
-
Do I get to work every class?Yes. Every actor will work every class as long as they are off-book and prepared. We expect every actor to have prepared their scene to the best of their ability prior to class. Being fully prepared allows each actor to get the most out of their coaching and every fellow actor in class to get the most out of observing. If you receive an audition prior to class start, you may put that scene up in class instead of the scene we sent out. We request that you e-mail the studio your audition breakdown and scene so that Galadriel and Kevin can read through it prior to class in order to give you the best coaching possible. If you are not putting up a scene, you may still, and are encouraged, to attend class as an observer.
-
What kind of material will I work on in class? All material will be from recent film and television auditions, both drama and comedy, that are currently on-air or currently being cast. This provides our actors with recent material that can be applied to their current auditions. All scenes will be sent severals days before class so that actors have ample time to fully prepare and be off book.
-
What happens if I miss a class? We do not allow make-ups for classes due to illness except in extreme cases. If unable to attend, an audition tape may be submitted to receive feedback on. However, classes missed due to acting work can be made up. Our goal is for all of our actors to be working as much as possible. We offer a credit towards the next month of classes. Documentation must be provided for all classes missed due to acting work. We encourage you to ensure that your computer and internet connection are working properly prior to any Zoom class. Any classes missed due to internet or computer issues are the responsibility of the student and not the studio.
-
How can I pay for classes? We accept payment through Paypal, Venmo, and by ACH/credit card.
-
Do I have to stay for the whole class?Yes, except for special circumstances. The studio must be notified if anybody will be leaving class early. Acting is a medium and art form that only works with an audience. If somebody is an audience for you while you're working, the same courtesy is expected that you be an audience for them as well. For online classes, all students are expected to log on by the time class is scheduled to begin. Late students who have not notified the studio are not guaranteed the opportunity to work.

Galadriel and Kevin are working actors. What happens when they book work? One of the benefits of studying with working actors is that you get hands-on instruction from somebody who's in the business day in and day out. This perk also comes with the fact that sometimes Galadriel and Kevin will be on set working. As they co-teach classes, one of them will almost always be available to teach. The on-line class platform also allows them to teach and coach whether they're working on set in Los Angeles, Atlanta, or London. If they both happen to be working on the same project and unavailable, then another member of the studio staff, who is a working actor and coach as well, will teach the class.
